About

Soundscapes consists of sound works that will be played via an outdoor stereo system in the breezway space at the Canopy Complex (916 Springdale Road), from 5pm - 7am each day. Each month ICOSA will feature a new sound artist, curated from local and national artist submissions. Each monthly featured artist’s work will be played on a loop and will be accessible to the public free of charge. The Soundscape Project provides sound artists a unique and specific platform for their work, dedicated to the act of listening. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Exhibition Dates: August 4 to September 5, 2025
Gallery Hours: Work activated from sunset to sunrise each day

ICOSA Collective is proud to present Somewhere Beautiful, Coney Island by Kenz Cannon. Somewhere Beautiful, Coney Island is a loose narrative built from field recordings captured over several years in New York City, where the artist lives, Nashville, where they are from, and everywhere in between. It is about heat, pressure, migraines, procrastination, and inspiration.

About the Artist
Kenz Cannon (b. 1997) is a NYC based writer, filmmaker, and multimedia artist with a practice that blends research, archival design, video, and performance. They are interested in how objects and physical space present a narrative, and how humanity’s sub/unconscious desires, realities, and dreams are reflected in the mundane, random, or discarded detritus of the internet and world at large. They work in sculptural installation, interactive web archives, documentary film, audio, and more.
